I'm a Florida girl at heart, but fell in love here on Cape Cod and have been embracing New England life ever since. It's been such a blessing building a life and chasing my dreams with my husband, our two little girls, and our pups.
I'm Ashley!
Mother’s Day weekend wasn’t just spent celebrating me (and if I’m being honest, my child was not interested in celebrating me AT ALL). I had the privilege of sharing this holiday with one of the families I’ve been lucky enough to photograph over this last year. It’s been tough for Megan and Trent during little Harper’s first year of life. Covid hit just after she was born, and quarantine kept them apart from their families. With Trent’s parents in town for the holiday weekend, he decided to surprise Megan and his mom with a Mother’s Day photoshoot! The perfect way to ring in the coming of a better year.
I love that we arranged for this session to take place at Megan’s parents’ house. This is where I first met the Huxley family, almost a year ago. Megan and Trent decided to document their time at home with Harper. I think all of us should have done that. This last year was trying for sure, but I know that our time together at home only strengthened our bond and helped us make it through. It’s so sweet to be back in the house that has helped build Harper. After all, home is where the heart is. You can check out their first session here.
Springtime on the Cape is so pretty. Seeing the pink blooms after a long winter is such a lovely sight! When their beautiful cherry tree caught me eye, I knew it had to be the focal point for these photos. And, if you know me, you know that I am drawn to anything pink. Which is so funny because my favorite color is actually purple! At least I think it is.
Happy Mother’s Day Huxley Family!
