September Beach Wedding at Ocean Edge Resort

One of the few perfect days of summer 2023. If you know how much rain we endured during that summer, then you know how few weekends were filled with sunshine. I’m so happy this wedding day was one of them! I’ve had the pleasure of photographing a few weddings at the Ocean Edge Resort on Cape Cod, and I highly recommend it as a venue. You can’t beat the beauty of Brewster beaches, and the staff is wonderful. I’m honored to have been part of Chandni and Lucas’ September beach wedding at Ocean Edge Resort. Wishing I could document this day all over again!

Chandni and Lucas surrounded themselves with an amazing bridal party. From getting ready to group shots, I had such a great time. You can tell from the photos that they have a team of family and friends who truly love them and want to support them in any way they can. Their love for one another touches everyone they come across, and wow was that a beautiful thing to witness. From ceremony to reception toasts, there weren’t too many dry eyes. I found myself shedding tears throughout, for sure.

Favorite details

Let’s start with the groom and groomsmen’s attire. I am really drawn to mixing and matching textures and colors. It’s so aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Paired with the sea foam green color of the bridesmaids dresses, it all came together beautifully. Wait until you see the entire bridal party on the beach. Oh, it’s one of my favorite bridal party shots to date!

The grand stair case in the lobby of the resort is just gorgeous. I forget why I decided that’s where we would do the first look, but I definitely know I’d do it there again. The images from that part of the day are hands down my favorites from the entire gallery.

Moving on to set up. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception took place in different locations on the property. Although it required a lot of running around on my part, I enjoyed exploring. All three locations were stunning, too! First, the ceremony, which was held right on the beach. The colors of the sky and the water provided the most incredible summer backdrop. Next, the terrace. This is where cocktail hour was held, offering a breathtaking view of the ocean. Lastly, the reception in the tent. Seascape Florals transformed the space into a whimsically romantic oasis of elegance. Lanterns adorned with greenery and floating candles among soft floral centerpieces resulted in perfection.

September is for dancing

My favorite part of any wedding day is the dancing. Especially, if Scott from Cape Tunes is there! A popular favor provided by couples now is flip flops, so there really is no excuse to not hit the dance floor! Get comfy, and get crazy! This photographer loves to capture all of the action.
