Hackett Family Lifestyle Newborn Session

Welcome to the world Emerson girl! I’m so so happy for Sarah and Rob. I fell in love with these two and their love story when I photographed their intimate wedding during COVID, and now here we are full circle as we celebrate this next chapter. The Hackett family, party of three, is beyond adorable in their lifestyle newborn session. Looking back on this gallery kind of makes me want another sweet and snuggly baby of my own. KIDDING!! Ha.

The Hacketts live in an old style house, complete with charming character, just outside of Boston. Sarah greeted me at the door, looking gorgeous and absolutely at ease in her new role as a mom. How one makes rocking a breast pump look stylish is beyond me. Since it was a beautiful day outside, we started the session on their back patio. Their doodle, Henry, played around in the yard and then joined his humans on the patio couch (reluctantly). Don’t worry, he warmed up to the camera by the end. Those photos alone were worth the wait. We divided up the rest of the session between Sarah and Rob’s room and Emerson’s nursery. The nursery is always a popular space for lifestyle newborn sessions, and an entire session can be photographed in just that space if desired. I do, however, love when we get to incorporate the parents’ room. There’s just something about snuggling together on the bed; it’s a vibe, and it’s the best kind.

May Babies

Fun Fact: Sarah and I delivered one week apart from one another! I can’t believe we gave our girls similar names too! Emma and Emerson. It’s been so great checking in on one another and being able to connect over our motherhood journeys. Hoping one day we can get the babies together so they can start building their friendship.
