Whitt Family Beach Session

I love beach sessions. I especially love them on overcast days like this one. Just look at the color of that sky! Takes my breath away every time. This session right here is extra special because these three are my cousins! We were all together a few days prior for Valerie’s sister’s wedding (that I had the privilege of photographing), and we decided to squeeze in a quick photoshoot and dinner. We met halfway, which put us right in Venice Beach (Caspersen Beach, to be exact). I can’t believe I had never been there before! It’s beautiful! We enjoyed the warm, salty breeze and laughed at how much little Elizabeth loves the water. It was the perfect evening spent with family. It’s definitely tough being so far away from my entire family. I hadn’t seen Valerie since her wedding, which was back in 2018. She and Jordan were married on a cruise, and we all set sail together celebrating the entire time. Matt and I were celebrating being pregnant with Mackenzie during that trip, and saw it as a last hoorah before parenthood took over. Little did we know, Valerie and her oldest sister, Gina, would be following suit just a few months after us! And just like that, our families were linked back together as we shared all of the highs and lows of raising babies. Can you believe Mackenzie has not met Elizabeth yet? I’m so hoping our next trip to Florida we can get all of the littles together, and plan for many future reunions. It would be so great for the cousins to be as close as all of us were growing up.
