A Downtown micro wedding in New Bedford Massachusetts
My friends are MARRIED!
On Friday, October 2nd, I had the honor of photographing my friend, Ana’s, wedding day. She and her family put together the most adorable “mini-mony“. The ceremony took place at a rooftop bar in downtown New Bedford. It’s actually an arcade that recently opened, and Ana happens to work there! The owners went above and beyond to make this space feel extra special, and I think it ended up being the perfect fit for her and James.
Ana and I met five years ago while interning with the New Bedford Police Department. We couldn’t have been more different, but our personalities found a way to complement each other and we’ve been great friends ever since. Our supervisor even told us that she’s never had interns get along so well and form such a strong relationship. What can I say? She’s the yin to my yang, and I’m so lucky to call her a forever friend.
New Bedford is home to both Ana and James. They’ve spent their lives building roots here. Downtown has always felt special to them as individuals, and even more so since they’ve become a couple. They love enjoying the nightlife and the unique style of the city. Date nights are always on the calendar, especially ice cream dates down at the pier. It’s no wonder that a downtown micro wedding in New Bedford, Massachusetts would turn out to be their dream all along.

This blog truly encompasses the perfection of our wedding day! A few months back we had to make the decision of cancelling this year’s wedding and postponing to next year, but we decided that love always wins and that we would make the best of what we could do with all of the regulations to be followed. Ashley captured every simply sweet moment throughout the day, not to mention the funny ones that describes our families to a T. We can’t thank Ashley enough for being so patient and caring, this was truly an amazing gift! 🤍
