Sunset Session at Mayflower Beach in Dennis, MA- The Best Beach on Cape Cod for Photoshoots

This sunset session at Mayflower Beach in Dennis, MA. I’m in love! Mayflower Beach is my absolute favorite location to shoot at! The vast stretch of beach at low tide paired with the golden glow of the sun as it glistens on the water is a photographer’s dream.

It’s fun for the whole family, too! Take the Hansens. They arrived at the Cape after a six hour drive from New Jersey shortly before their session, bless them. The girls were antsy from being cooped up, so we spent some time running around feeling the sand on our toes and splashing in the tide pools. It took a lot of energy reigning these cuties in for a pose and a smile, but we did it! And, we redirected them all the way down to the water’s edge, where mom and dad enjoyed the beautiful sunset with all of their little ones.

Photoshoots aren’t the only thing people flock to this beach for. Locals and visitors flood the sands with beach chairs and great food to catch a front row seat to enjoy the sunset. It’s really a fun sight to see! When you’re walking past all of the people, it almost feels like you are witnessing the beach version of a drive-in theater! I plan on joining them next summer. Maybe I’ll see you there!
