Meet the Love Family!
I met this bunch at their beautiful Cape Cod summer home in South Yarmouth. As you can see, they have a spectacular view of the bay and a great big yard- the perfect combination for a photoshoot! The gazebo made such a statement that it served as the anchor for most of the portraits. I may have to talk Matt into getting us one for our yard! Meanwhile, I’m already planning all of the tea parties, book clubs, and family dialogue nights we could have (I know, as I typed that I realized I may be watching too many feel-good movies)!
It wouldn’t be Summer 2020 without the obligatory mask photo! I love the makeshift one in the back row! Eric is keeping it real, and admitting he may never get used to this “new normal”. I’m with you Eric!

All the summer vibes right here in these images. I don’t know if I would ever leave if I lived in this house; I mean, it’s the Cape Cod view not many have the privilege of seeing but would love to have! These days though, how many of us are actually out doing all of the things? We are in the process of turning our yard into a little retreat, and once it’s done we may not venture out as much (though I will have to take a beach day here and there so Mackenzie can get her toes sandy and search the horizon for her favorite vehicle- boats!)
With so many months at home, I’m sure most of us are loving this fresh perspective on “home is where the heart is”. I know I am. Now, more than ever, we are telling our stories through campouts in the living room, backyard barbeques, and walks around the neighborhood. This is the year of family; above all, this is the year of realizing that the best things in life are homemade.
