Family Photoshoot on Silvershell Beach!

Silvershell Beach is located in Marion, MA, which is the cutest little town! Its main street skirts the shore, providing a beautiful and scenic drive down to the beach. If you’re off Cape and looking for a nice spot to explore, this is definitely it. The beach is the perfect mixture of jetty, marsh, sand, and open water. Watch the boats come into the harbor and enjoy the geese gathering on the banks of the marsh, as you splash around and bask in the warm summer sun. A family photoshoot on Silvershell Beach is a must!

I am so happy I ventured over the bridge to meet Nicolette, Mike, and Riley for a sunset session here at Silvershell Beach! This family is so sweet, and I instantly felt like I already knew them; like I was joining them for a beach day as friends. We joked because Mike called me while we were all on our way (we got a little confused as to where exactly the beach was) and immediately started talking to me like we were mid-conversation. No need for ice breakers (or introductions! LOL)! Love it!

Riley was a little skeptical about my camera, even when I put my handy-dandy dalmatian puppet onto it, so I focused on lots of candids for these three! The result? Adorable! Playing hard to get definitely suits her- better watch out Mom and Dad!

Details that stand out

Nicolette is a mama after my own heart. Matching “Mommy and Me” outfits are ALWAYS a win in my book, and she and Riley showed up in Lilly Pulitzer dresses! I am totally a girl that loves color, and not usually just a “splash” or a “pop”; I love LOTS of color. Go bold, or go home. (If you aren’t one for bold color, please don’t actually go home! I still want to photograph you!) I’m currently writing this while wearing my Lilly Pulitzer robe, which is pretty much blinding to the eye if you stare at it directly, LOL! Anyway, matching dresses deserve a little spotlight, and I’m loving all of the feel-good moments we captured!

The beauty of storytelling

I’ll probably say this in every blog post, but having fun is ALWAYS on the agenda when you book a family session with me. The moments I capture of you splashing around in the water are the moments that are going to spark the MOST joy for you! They are the moments that make up your story.

Take Riley, for instance. She LOVES the water. We took a break from looking at the lens to enjoy the magic of the sea! I love the detail and heartfelt connection these images bring to their gallery. Candids will always have my heart. Can you see why?!
