Senior Prom Night Photoshoot in Belleair, FL

I went to prom, y’all! Well, not exactly. It sure did feel like I did though! My baby sister had her senior prom while I was in town, and I got to tag along for a bit of the fun (perks of being a photographer!). We even brought our own sweet prop! Kaitlyn’s boyfriend drove his dad’s GTO, and it totally amped up the level of “classic” that I didn’t even realize I was hoping for. We met up with the rest of the gang at Belleair Causeway in Clearwater and had ourselves a little prom kickoff party. Although we faced the challenge of a crowded parking lot and harsh sun (and the occasional big boat on a trailer), this ended up being a pretty great spot for a senior prom night photoshoot!

Kaitlyn and her friends were facing the disappointing realization that they may be leaving high school without the memory of a prom night. Thankfully, the parents got together to host a night the seniors would never forget. A few of them attended the photoshoot, and I loved seeing their excitement. So much joy shared among the parents seeing their seniors off on a night they almost weren’t going to have. I get it. We, as parents, want our children to have and experience as much as possible. Prom night is a right of passage. I mean how many other times do we find ourselves glammed up and dancing the night away?
