I'm a Florida girl at heart, but fell in love here on Cape Cod and have been embracing New England life ever since. It's been such a blessing building a life and chasing my dreams with my husband, our two little girls, and our pups.
I'm Ashley!

Matt and I have lived in Mashpee for five years now. The Commons is where we enjoy date night at our favorite restaurant, it’s where we take Mackenzie when we want to get out and walk around or do something fun, and it’s a little slice of heaven that is my go-to for photoshoots. So many memories are made in this heart and soul of our town, which is why the Mashpee Commons was the perfect place for our anniversary session.
They say, “When you know, you know”. That saying couldn’t be more true for us. Love hit hard and fast pretty much after our first date, and I can honestly say we’ve grown more in love every day since. Did you know we met online?! I never thought I would meet my soulmate through an online dating site, but here we are. When I moved to the Cape I knew no one. Adjusting to the new life I chose was difficult, to say the least. I wasn’t even sure I wanted to stay on the Cape until I met Matt. We built our life here literally from the ground up, helping each other grow stronger as individuals and as a couple. Once we set down roots in Mashpee, life on the Cape finally made sense. It became home.
The whole “opposites attract” totally applies to our relationship. I’m a free spirit, he’s structured. My promise to him is that I’ll keep him wild, and his promise to me is that he’ll keep me safe. It’s the perfect way to describe us as a couple. We both love dessert and spending as much time together as we can. My mom makes fun of us because we do everything together! Flash forward to our third act: he will absolutely be the old man sitting on a bench waiting for me while holding my purse. That’s just one of the many things I love about him.
Matt proposed to me in our first home we owned. We were knee deep in the remodel, and the house was very unfinished, but I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect surprise. I only wish I was a little more dressed up and not sweaty and covered in ice cream (I worked at an ice cream parlor while I was finishing up school)! We got married in Kennebunkport, ME at the cutest little resort, The Nonantum. After, I convinced my seasick-proned husband to cruise across the Atlantic ocean for our honeymoon. He did great, by the way!
Now here we are, parents to a two and a half year old. Little Mackenzie takes up much of our time and energy, as she should! Our life and our love is her, but love always makes room.
Happy anniversary to the man I’d marry over and over again!
