Ashley and Matt’s Cape Cod Wedding at The Sea View

October is proving to be my peak wedding season, and I’ll take it! The weather has been warm, the light has been lovely, and I love Fall! While we don’t typically see much foliage on the Cape until later in the month, there is still a refreshing crispness in the air that makes this time very distinguishable from summer. It is definitely a busy time for me, but I really enjoy being surrounded by so many wonderful people coming together to have fun and celebrate love. Ashley and Matt’s Cape Cod wedding at The Sea View was the perfect way to kick-off my October wedding month.

The Couple

When I speaking with Ashley during the booking process, I found out her fiance’s name was Matt. I couldn’t believe it. I immediately said, “Oh my gosh, I am also married to a Matt”! I think we both knew in that moment that us working together was meant to be. What sealed the deal on the wedding day was finding out we both also have sapphire stone engagement rings! I love when things like that happen.

Ashley and Matt are such a fun couple. Their love is serious, but they were sure to make every moment of their day enjoyable and true to who they are together. Being with their family and friends as much as possible was very important to them, so I tried to capture as many candids as possible along with making our portrait time enjoyable and short. The location we chose for portraits was in full sun, but we made the best of it with everyone wearing matching sunglasses. And honestly, those photos are a true reflection of the kind of wedding day vibe they wanted. Plus, they turned out adorable.

Cape Cod Wedding Venues

Prior to the reception at The Sea View, Ashley and Matt exchanged vows and rings in front of their family and friends at Corpus Christi Parish in Sandwich, MA. What an exquisite church. Breathtakingly high ceilings and so much gorgeous natural light. Of course my photographer self loved it, but it also felt like a place one could go to just lay everything out before the Lord and feel an overpowering sense of peace.

The Sea View in Dennis, MA is a beautiful and quaint venue for a Cape Cod wedding. It’s just across the street from the beach, and it abuts serene and picturesque conservation land. Guests can enjoy a stunning sunset view just off of the terrace. The interior space of the venue is very welcoming, making one feel right at home. And best of all, the staff is so hospitable.
