Don CeSar Graduation Photoshoot| St. Pete Beach, FL

Ahh the Don CeSar. This beautiful pink palace is the gemstone of St. Pete Beach. Built in 1928, this opulent resort welcomed many world famous figures of the Gatsby era. When the owner died in 1940, it served in WWII as a hospital, a convalescent for returning airmen, and then a VA headquarters. It was then fully restored back to its grandeur as resort in 1973 and recently celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2018! Rumor has it, the resort is still haunted by the spirit of the late owner! Maybe it’s the history, maybe it’s the opulence, maybe it’s even the pop of pink that can be spotted for miles down the beach. All of that, and more I’m sure, make it a dream spot for photoshoots. I’m so happy Gabriella decided to do her graduation photoshoot here at the Don CeSar!

When I visited last fall, I met with Gabriella for her senior photos at the newly redesigned St. Pete Pier. Another incredibly stunning session. Mostly because of how adorable Gabriella is in front of the camera, but also because these two locations are iconic St. Pete. And, both locations are full of so many memories from when I was growing up. There’s just something so special about shooting in your hometown and seeing everything through a difference lens.
